Daily board · date navigation — round 2

The direction from the Silvio call + review: people expect a real calendar, and the best fit is a MIX, a short strip of the near days you actually work in (one click), plus the full calendar one tap away for anything further. “Today” is faked as Jul 8 so you can see past context. Seats-left badges (number / FULL / dash = no tours).

The mix: near-days strip + calendar (recommended)

E — Working week + calendar (7 near days, forward)

Today + the next 6 days as tabs, then the 📅 button for anything beyond. The week they live in is one click; the rest is one tap into the real calendar. Simplest, forward-looking.

F — Rolling window with past context (last 3 + today + next 4)

Shows a few past days (dimmed) plus today and the next few, because the office glances back as well as forward. 📅 for the long tail. This is the “you see the last 7 days too” version.

G — Compact single line (7 days + calendar, minimal height)

Same idea, squeezed to one short row of smaller tabs, so it eats the least vertical space above the board.

Full calendar (what people expect)

H — Inline month calendar, always visible

The whole month on the page, like a wall calendar, with seats-left per day. Most familiar and expected; costs the most vertical space. Good when the manager plans a whole month at once.

I — Month calendar + the working-week strip together

Best of both if there's room: the near-week strip for fast day-to-day, and the full month calendar beside it for jumping anywhere. Likely a desktop-only combo.

Responsive: the mix adapts by screen

Same component, fewer near-day tabs on smaller screens; the 📅 calendar is always one tap, so no screen loses the ability to reach any date. Desktop shows the most days, mobile the fewest.

Round 1 (for reference)

The first four options are still at calendar-v1 if you want to compare: A paginated window, B whole-month tabs, C calendar popover, D month pills + day row.
